Benedicte Gendron

Professor, University of Montpellier III, France

Benedicte Gendron is professor and former vice-president of the University of Montpellier III, in charge of vocational education and training-VET. Her research focuses on emotional capital questions qualities of life, of teaching, managing, and learning, and enabling well-being, HR sustainability and equitable education. She is a member of the International Consortium Research on Emotional Intelligence in Organizations. She is also an expert for the OECD and the European Commission. Benedicte intervenes in organizations around through her innovative work in inclusive excellence and 'bienvivance' from school to work by enabling management via emotional capital programs. The Bienvivance program (Gendron, 2017) focuses on socio-emotional learning to create inclusive education excellence, by empowering each person to recognize their potentials or talents, their transversal and transferable skills, and to recover self-esteem and self-confidence to overcome or recover from difficult situations (i.e migration and personal trauma) via personal and collective success. A post-doctorate fellow from UC. Berkeley, USA, she holds a Ph.D. in economics of education and human resources development from the University Paris I-Pantheon-Sorbonne and a Ph.D. in psychology and neuropsychology.
