María José Sagrado is an epidemiology advisor at Medecins Sans Frontiers (MSF), Spain, she provides technical support to the epidemiology activities that are carried out in the field.
Prior to join MSF, she was working at the World Health Organization as a field epidemiologist and was deployed to the field, including as part of the West Africa Ebola Outbreak Response. She has a bachelor degree in nursing, specialized in tropical medicine and she was a fellow in the National Center of Epidemiology in Spain at the Carlos III Health Institute.
