Melissa Mueller

Melissa Mueller is a program manager at the Food Protection and Defense Institute at the University of Minnesota. She is currently the project coordinator for a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention project aimed at building laboratory capacity and implementing enhanced surveillance for leptospirosis and melioidosis in Puerto Rico. She has experience in project management, education and training, and has led the development of innovative technology platforms aimed at improving research speed, access, and data collection. Her professional and academic experiences have focused on clinical research and infectious disease surveillance, specifically environmental and vector-borne diseases. She obtained her Master of Public Health degree from the University of Minnesota, USA.
