Winsome Waite is vice president of practice at the Alliance for Excellent Education (All4Ed). In this role, she leads the organization's practitioner-facing work that brings research to bear on practice and policy around secondary school improvement, with a focus on college and career readiness. As part of that work, Winsome leads All4Ed's science of adolescent learning initiative, working with researchers from multiple disciplines to translate research, develop practitioner resources, and support implementation in districts and schools. Her work emphasizes equity and deeper learning experiences and outcomes for all students. Winsome earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in elementary and early childhood education and a master's degree in K-12 curriculum and instruction. She also earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in education leadership from Notre Dame of Maryland University. She holds Maryland State Department of Education professional certificates in administration, curriculum and instruction, early childhood, and special education.
