Linda Brownlow

Head of School of Education, University of Strathclyde, UK

Linda Brownlow is head of the School of Education at the University of Strathclyde, UK, where she leads a large and varied team of staff. She has maintained a nationally recognized expertise in teacher education and an international reputation through a wide variety of knowledge exchange and teaching activities, including enterprise / entrepreneurial education. Linda represents Strathclyde on the Scottish Council of Deans of Education, which influences discussions at national government level. She is a member of a small leadership team in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences coordinating a number of international collaborations. Her career began with 10 years as a classroom teacher. Previously, she was course leader for the PGDE program (a one-year teacher education program with around 950 students) at the University of Strathclyde from 2010 until 2015, progressing to her current role as head of school. She was an invited expert with the European Training Foundation (Turin) for various projects and advisor for EU pre-accession countries on the creation of national indictors for entrepreneurship education.
