Whitney Pidot is a member of Shearman & Sterlings Executive Group and is the firms Asia managing partner. Based in Singapore, he is responsible for overseeing the operations of Shearman & Sterlings Asian offices, including Beijing, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Tokyo. Mr. Pidot joined the firm in 1970 and became partner in 1979. He served as the managing partner for the entire firm from 1998 to 2001 and has also served as a member of the firms Policy Committee. Mr. Pidot has extensive experience in general corporate and private client corporate matters. His representative professional experience includes structured financings in manufacturing, communications, entertainment, and other industries. He is a member of the Advisory Board of Molecular Tool Inc., a biotech research and development firm, and a member of the Advisory Board of Barclays Bank of New York. Mr. Pidot received a B.A. from Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts; an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School; and a J.D. from Columbia Law School, New York.
