Whitney MacMillan

Whitney MacMillan is Chairman Emeritus of Cargill, Incorporated, an international marketer, processor, and distributor of agricultural, food, financial, and industrial products and services where he served for more than forty years. Mr. MacMillan has served as an Executive Fellow and teacher of corporate strategy at the University of St. Thomas Graduate School of Business in Minnesota, lecturing on investment issues as they relate to corruption and the rule of law. From 1997 to 1998, Mr. MacMillan was one of two co-chairs reviewing sixteen international agriculture research centers for The World Bank. He also chaired the Investment Services Policy Advisory Committee, during which time the committee wrote the investment sections for both the United States - Canada Free Trade Agreement and later for the North American Free Trade Agreement. Mr. MacMillan is a director of numerous international organizations including The Rural Development Institute, The Trilateral Commission, The EastWest Institute, The International Peace Academy, the Western NIS Enterprise Fund, the Yale President's Council on International Activities and the Hubert H. Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs. Mr. MacMillian is a member of the National Academy of Sciences Board on Agriculture and Natural Resources. He received a B.A. from Yale University.
