Lars Østergaard is senior advisor and deputy head of division in the Danish Ministry of Finance. He has worked in the Ministry of Finance in a number of positions including most recently as a senior advisor to the Danish minister for public sector innovation. The minister for public sector innovation is responsible for the broad range of public sector modernization including efficiency, digitization and creating value for citizens and digitization. Previously Lars has been an EU advisor to Danish Prime Minister Rasmussen and a financial counselor at the Danish Embassy in Washington DC. Lars obtained his degree in political science from the University of Copenhagen. Lars is a Fellow of Sazburg Global Seminar.
