Priya Cook

Principal Associate, Connecting Children to Nature, National League of Cities, USA

Priya Cook leads the Cities Connecting Children to Nature (CCCN) initiative at the National League of Cities' Institute for Youth, Education, and Families with its Children and Nature Network partners. The CCCN initiative helps municipal leaders and their partners ensure that all children have the opportunity to play, learn, and grow in nature. Priya was formerly the middle school programs director at City Kids Wilderness Project, and has worked all over the U.S. addressing equity in education, policy, and outdoor youth development, including on the Texas-Mexico border and in interior Alaska. She serves on the Student Conservation Association Board of Directors and her Advisory Neighborhood Commission's Public Space Committee in Washington DC. Priya holds a B.A. in great books from the University of Notre Dame and a master's degree in public policy from the University of Texas, Austin.
