Alan Kwan

Alan Kwan is a digital media artist and designer in Boston and Hong Kong whose work explores experimental forms of videogame and immersive virtual reality experiences. His studio currently focuses on the development of a videogame about the journeys of climate refugees. Alan's previous projects were presented at international venues including the Ars Electronica Center in Austria, the ZKM Center for Art and Media in Germany, and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Shanghai. In 2015, he was awarded first prize of the MIT Harold and Arlene Schnitzer Prize. Other recent accomplishments include the Asian Cultural Council Fellowship and the Hong Kong Arts Development Council Award for Young Artist (Media Art). Alan holds a M.Sc. degree in art, culture, and technology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA.
