Thomas Nowotny is an adjunct professor for political science and international relations at the University of Vienna and a counselor at the Austrian promotion- and development bank Austria Wirtschaftsservice. He was the Washington representative for this institution between 2003 and 2008 and the Vienna representative from 2000 to 2003. He formerly served as the senior political consultant at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and as a counselor at the Paris OECD Center for Economies in Transition. Dr. Nowotny is a fellow of Salzburg Global Seminar Sessions 270, American Politics and the Foreign Policy Process, in 1988; and 344, Eclipse of the Nation State?, in 1997.
