Tamara Adrián

Chair, World Committee for IDAHOT, Venezuela

Tamara Adrián is a lawyer and member of the National Assembly of Venezuela. She is also the president of the Committee of International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia (IDAHO-T), co-president of the Gay, Lesbian, Trans, Intersex Sport Association (GLISA), which organizes the World Outgames, president of the Board of Directors of GATE Global Action for Trans Equality, co-secretary general alternate of IGLA. She is a member of the Board of Directors at WPATH, as well as PLAFAM. She is also a special advisor to several organizations including the WHO. Tamara is the author of many articles and books that have been published around the world. She is a retired professor for undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral degrees at the Andrés Bello Catholic University and a professor of law at the Central University and the Metropolitan University of Venezuela. She graduated from the Andrés Bello Catholic University in Caracas, summa cum laude, obtained a diploma in comparative law from the Paris Institute of Comparative Law, and a Ph.D. in law from Paris II Panthéon-Assas University, France.
