Deganit Shaked has been employed by Yad Hanadiv, the Rothschild Foundation in Israel, since 2006 and has served as the human resources director since the creation of the position in 2010. In this capacity, she has helped to "build the plane while flying it," shaping and defining the role while bearing responsibility for formulating and implementing HR policy and leading the hiring process. Her biggest challenges at present are increasing diversity and opportunities for personal growth within the organization, improving the organizational structure to enable better support for the Foundation's core business, and building up infrastructure for professional development and support for the leading team of program directors and other managers. Prior to her work at Yad Hanadiv, Deganit was employed for three years at the Bineth Art Gallery, Tel Aviv. She is married to Jonathan, an architect, and they have four children - Yiftach (13), Elion (10) Noga (6) and Ziv (3 months). Deganit also recently completed a six-month training course for human resource professionals in the private and public sector. She holds a B.A. in political science and art history from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
