Karima Kadaoui

Executive President, Tamkeen Community Foundation, UK

Karima Kadaoui is co-founder and current executive president of Tamkeen Community Foundation for Human Development, a non-profit social innovation platform based in Tangier, Morocco. As a Tamkeen Community Facilitator she contributes to the training of future teachers at the Ecole Normale SeperiƩure of Tetuan and facilitates the growth process of a teacher network that sows the seeds of transformation of the Moroccan education system. Karima started her professional life as a consultant at Price Waterhouse where she worked for 15 years, carrying out assignments for national and multinational corporations as well as institutions such as the World Bank, and the EU Commission. She served in the Moroccan government as the advisor to the Minister of Employment, Vocational Training, and Housing between 1997-1998. For two years she worked for a community-based non-profit in the biggest shanty town in Tangier, an experience which contributed reflection and research that led to her co-founding Tamkeen in 2009. Karima has a Masters in mathematics applied to social sciences from the University of Toulouse Jean Jaures, France.
