Liza Manalo is the head of the Section of Hospice and Palliative Care at The Medical City Hospital in Pasig City. She has been practicing as a palliative care specialist for the past ten years. Liza is interested in finding new and better ways to improve the care of the chronically ill, terminally ill and the dying. She works also as a faculty member in two medical schools in the Philippines teaching family medicine, palliative care, bioethics, epidemiology, public health, and research. Aside from her Fellowship training in supportive, palliative and hospice care at the University of the Philippines - Philippine General Hospital, Liza received an MSc. in epidemiology from the same institution. She is a Fellow of Session 392, Biotechnology: Legal, Ethical and Social Issues, in 2001.
