Alexander Willim

University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten, Austria

After I finished school I studied Media and Communications Consulting (BA) at the University of Applied Sciences St. Poelten. In 2014 I began to study in the eponymous postgraduate programme (MA) which I finished in July 2016. Furthermore I have studied the postgraduate programme Media Management (MA) since 2015. I am a member of the students' union and teach as a lecturer at the Universities of Applied Sciences St. Poelten (Media Economics) and Hagenberg (Media and Press Relations, Stakeholder Communication). Next to my academic and university-related tasks I work as a researcher at the Institute for Industrial Research in Vienna as well as a freelancer in the field of corporate communications and public relations.

My hobbies are sports (handball, football, beach volleyball, skiing and tennis), culture and travelling. As an open-minded person I am very interested in learning new things, learning about different cultures and meet new people. Therefore I am looking forward to start my semester abroad in London in autumn of 2016. I am open to new ideas at any time both, personal and professional and believe in the advantages of globalisation.

I am really excited about the possibility to take part at the Media Academy 2016 and looking forward to my arrival in Salzburg.
