I'm Jodie Boyce, a second-year Multi-Media Journalism student in Bournemouth. I moved from the chaos of London, which is where I'll eventually be working my way to being a features and comment writer for magazines. I've been writing for newspapers since I was 15 - when I would send in music reviews and get published. But my interests have gone far beyond music throughout my degree, and I would now consider myself a bit of a political activist. Being President of our universities Students' Assembly Against Austerity group, you'll always find me at the big demonstrations in London. I now hope to write about politics in the future, so that I can really get young people thinking and caring about politics and current affairs happening throughout both Britain and the world. I love kick-starting debates, and getting hands on with all kinds of media to do so is my favourite thing. The Salzburg Academy will allow me to do all of this, on topics far beyond the little island of Britain's problems! As a journalist, I want to shape the world we live in, and this is my way of doing just that.
