Educated at the Universities of Vienna and York, Sebastian Cody has been a media executive and freelance consultant for more than twenty years. Through his company Open Media, he has been responsible for some 500 hours of network television in the UK, including many science programs. Mr. Cody has written for newspapers and magazines, including The Times and The Guardian, and works as a consultant for companies and non-profit organizations, such as the Vega Trust, a charity dedicated to improving the public understanding of science. He sits on the senior advisory board of the 21st Century Trust and is an associate fellow of the Rothermere American Institute at the University of Oxford. Mr. Cody is special advisor to the Director of IIASA, an international science research organization based in Austria.
