Thuli Radebe is the South African minister of transport's special advisor on all modes of transport. A role she has been in since October 2018. She is committed to modernizing public services through platforms fostering a future-oriented outlook, inclusivity, integration, and innovation across all sectors, empowering citizens to get maximum access to services through innovative solutions and participate in economic development. She has supported the African Union (AU) and United Nations (UN) in Continent-wide programmes on innovation and SDGs. For 11 years Thuli was executive director at the Centre for Public Service Innovation. Between 2000 and 2007 she led a public service-wide Research Learning and Knowledge Management Programme in the Department of Public Service and Administration, South Africa, bringing 16 years' experience from the University of Natal where she was a senior subject specialist, later a senior lecturer in the Department of Information Studies. Thuli received a library science degree from the University of Zululand; an Honours and Master's in information science from the University of Natal.
