Henry Jenkins

Professor of Communication, University of Southern California, USA

Henry Jenkins is the Provost's Professor of Communication, Journalism, Cinematic Art and Education at the University of Southern California and founder and former director of the Comparative Media Studies Program at MIT. He holds a Masters in Communication Studies at the University of Iowa and a PhD in Communication Arts at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His most recent books include Reading in a Participatory Culture, Spreadable Media: Creating Meaning and Value in a Networked Society, Participatory Culture in a Networked Era, and By Any Media Necessary: The New Youth Activism. He has been a part of the MacArthur Foundation's Digital Media and Learning initiative from its conception and currently serves as a member of the Youth and Participatory Politics Network. He is a jury member for the Peabody Awards and the chief advisor to the Annenberg Innovation Lab. He blogs at henryjenkins.org.
