Ferdinand Richard

President, Roberto Cimetta Fund; Founder and Director, A.M.I. Association; Salzburg Global Fellow

Ferdinand Richard is the chairman of The Roberto Cimetta Fund, an international non-profit organization dedicated to artists' and cultural activists' mobility in the European-Arab relationships. The Roberto Cimetta Fund has launched the Fil Manfa program to provide artists staying close to conflict zones a space to work, shelter, and advice. The Roberto Cimetta Fund recognizes those artists who cannot travel further afield for various reasons or want to be near their country to be a part of reconstruction efforts after conflicts have ended. Mr. Richard is also the founder and director of A.M.I. Association, based in France. This organization provides training workshops, artist residencies, festivals, and serves as a cultural micro-business incubator. He is an expert collaborator of the Agenda 21 Culture initiative organized by United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) global network of local authorities, and the coordinator of the expert panel at UNESCO's International Fund for Cultural Diversity. He previously served as president of The European Forum for the Arts and Heritage (currently Culture Action Europe), and as president of the Orientation Board of the European Certificate in Cultural Management, run by the Marcel Hicter Foundation. Ferdinand is a Fellow of Salzburg Global Seminar, having attended Beyond Green: The Arts as a Catalyst for Sustainability.
