Harvey Sanchez Restrepo

High Level Technical Advisor for the Latin American Laboratory for the Evaluation of the Quality of Education (LLECE) of UNESCO, Mexico City, Mexico

Harvey S. Sánchez is a high level technical advisor for the Latin American Laboratory for the Evaluation of the Quality of Education (LLECE) of UNESCO. Prior to this position, he served as executive director of the National Institute for Educational Evaluation (Ineval) in Ecuador, where he was an advisor to several ministers and a consultant for the United Nations Development Program, the National Autonomous University of Mexico, as well as for foundations and national governments on topics related to education, wealth and mobility policies. Harvey is a member of the Editorial Board of the research journal of the UNESCO-Ciespal Chair (2018), and serves as a technical advisor at the National Institute for Educational Evaluation and Evaluation of Mexico, and as a special adviser to GITS. He has given more than one hundred talks to several audiences, including academics, legislators, business leaders, educators, and students. Harvey is the author of chapters in books, journal articles, monographs and reports for a wide variety of audiences. Harvey is a Fellow of Untapped Talent: Can better testing and data accelerate creativity in learning and societies?, in 2015.
