Sally Barnes

Director of National Parks, Parks Australia, Canberra

Sally Barnes is the Director of National Parks for the Australian Government. She manages six national parks, a botanic garden and the third largest marine reserve network in the world. Three of the terrestrial national parks are managed in collaboration with the Indigenous owners of the land. The Australian Government was a co-host of the recent World Parks Congress in Sydney in November 2014, Ms Barnes lead a major contribution to this event Ms Barnes holds a Bachelor of Arts with majors in psychology and education and qualifications in librarianship.
