Ronald David (Chair) is a seminarian at the Virginia Theological Seminary. Dr. David was a senior fellow for health policy at the Center for Policy Alternatives in Washington, DC. From 1991 to 1997, he was a lecturer in public policy at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, where he taught courses on policy analysis and design, group behavior and the politics of diversity, and the health crisis in poor and disenfranchised communities. From March 1981 to July 1991 Dr. David served as acting secretary of health for the State of Pennsylvania. He formerly served as deputy secretary for Public Health Programs and co-chaired the Governor's Commission for Children and Family in Pennsylvania. Dr. David received his undergraduate and medical school degrees from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and completed post-graduate training in pediatrics and neonatal-perinatal medicine at the University Health Center of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He served as a faculty member at Salzburg Seminar Session 334, Health Care Partnerships: Meeting the Needs of Underserved Communities, 1996; and as co-chair at Salzburg Seminar Session 376, The Social and Economic Determinants of the Public's Health, 2000.
