Robert PAHRE is an associate professor of political science and associate director for academic affairs of the European Center at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He is currently teaching as a Fulbright Research Scholar at the Economic University in Vienna, Austria. Dr. Pahre’s teaching focuses on international political economy, politics of the European Union, and international relations, history, and politics in Central Europe. He has published numerous books and articles on topics related to the intersection of economics and politics. Dr. Pahre received a B.A. in international relations from Stanford University in Palo Alto, California; and a Ph.D. in international relations, political economy, and comparative politics from the University of California, Los Angeles.
