Piotr Ploszajski


Piotr Ploszajski is former director general of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw, Poland. He is currently professor and head of the Department of Management Theory at the Warsaw School of Economics, chairperson of the Polish-Japanese Management Center, and adjunct professor in international business studies, Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota, USA. From 1987 to 1991, Professor Ploszajski was the director of the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology, the largest social science research center in Poland. He is a consultant for numerous industrial, non-profit, and government organizations. Professor Ploszajski studied at the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology; the Harvard Business School, Massachusetts, USA; and at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology at the Polish Academy of Sciences, from where he received a Ph.D. He is a member of the Universities Project Advisory Committee.
