Roger W. Ferguson Jr., is president and chief executive officer of Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association – College Retirement Equities Fund (TIAA– CREF) and the former vice chairman of the Board of Governors of the U.S. Federal Reserve System. Prior to joining TIAA-CREF, he was head of financial services for Swiss Re, chairman of Swiss Re America Holding Corporation, and a member of the company’s executive committee. He is a former associate and partner at McKinsey & Company and was an attorney at Davis Polk & Wardwell. Mr. Ferguson serves on the board of International Flavors & Fragrances Inc., on the advisory board of Brevan Howard Asset Management LLP, and on the Congressional Budget Office’s Panel of Economic Advisers. He holds a B.A., J.D., and Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University.
