David Harrison

CEO, The DG Murray Trust, South Africa

David Harrison is the chief executive officer of the DG Murray Trust, a private foundation committed to human development. The Trust plays a key role in early childhood development in South Africa through its support for both national and local programs for children, and involvement in national policy processes. Previously he headed loveLife, South Africa's national HIV prevention program for young people. In the nineties, he headed the Health Systems Trust, supporting post-apartheid health reform. In that capacity, he founded the South African Health Review, an authoritative annual assessment of health and health care. David graduated as a medical doctor and has a MSc (Med) in health planning from the University of Cape Town, and a MPP from UC Berkeley.
