Madeleine F Green is an independent consultant and senior fellow at the International Association of Universities and NAFSA: the Association of International Educators. She also serves as senior program consultant at the Teagle Foundation. Her work experience encompasses higher education policy and practice, teaching and learning, institutional management and leadership, and internationalization. She was the recipient of the 2010 Charles Klasek Award of International Education Administrators(AIEA) for outstanding service to the field of international education. From 1991 to 2010, she served as Vice President for International Initiatives at the Council on Education (ACE), where led ACE's global initiatives and internationalization programs. Over her 35-year career at ACE, Dr. Green held a variety of positions focusing on higher education leadership and management as well as international and global initiatives. She served as director of the ACE Fellows Program from 1978 to 1990. She has worked with many institutions in the U.S. and abroad to develop and refine their internationalization strategy. Dr. Green has served as interim president of Mount Vernon College (Washington DC), and on the boards of Wilson College (PA), Sweetbriar College (VA) and Juniata College (PA). A fluent speaker of French and Spanish, she holds a B.A. from University Ph.D. from Columbia University, both in French literature.
