Lucian Leape

Adjunct Professor, Harvard School of Public Health, Boston

Lucian L. Leape is a graduate of Cornell University and Harvard Medical School. After a 20-year career as an academic pediatric surgeon, he is now on the faculty of the Harvard School of Public Health where his research and teaching focus on quality of health care and the prevention of medical errors. The Leapes have three sons and seven grandchildren living in Washington, London and Geneva. He was a faculty member at Session 386, Patient Safety and Medical Error, in 2001. Lucian is accompanied by his wife Martha.
