Krzysztof Rybinski became a partner at Ernst & Young in Warsaw in 2008, where he is responsible for supervising the economic strategy team and the better government program. Before joining Ernst & Young, Dr. Rybinski was the deputy governor of the National Bank of Poland (NBP). At NBP he supervised eight different departments, represented Poland as alternate governor at The World Bank, served as a member of the EU Economic and Financial Committee and as a member of the Polish Financial Services Authority. He also worked as chief economist, covering Poland for three financial groups (ING, AIB and HVB). In 1995, he founded the Central and East European Economic Research Centre and served as its first administrative director. Earlier in his career, Dr. Rybinski served as a director of the Summer School of Economics; as lecturer and researcher at Warsaw University; and as software engineer in Tokyo, Japan. He is a graduate of Warsaw University where he studied computer science and economics, and he received Ph.D. degrees in economics from Warsaw University and the Warsaw School of Economics.
