Krirk Vanikkul

Deputy Governor, Financial Institutions Stability, Bank of Thailand, Bangkok

Krirk Vanikkul has been deputy governor for financial institutions stability at the Bank of Thailand (BOT) since 2009. He oversees the financial institutions policy group, whose assistant governor he was for 6 years, and the supervision group. With strong legal background, Mr. Vanikkul first joined the BOT in 1994 as deputy director of the legal department. After working as department director until 2002, he became assistant governor of BOT's Financial Institutions Development Fund. Mr. Vanikkul received a barrister-at-law from Middle Temple and the Institute of Legal Education, Thai Bar Association; a B.A. in jurisprudence from Oxford University and an L.L.B. from Chulalongkorn University.
