is managing director and international general counsel of Morgan Stanley, a global financial services firm with leading franchises in investment banking, asset management, and credit services. With responsibility for the Institutional Securities Law groups in Europe and Asia (including Japan), he generally oversees legal matters outside of the United States. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Mr. Clark held various positions with Clifford Chance, the first fully integrated multi-jurisdictional law firm. From 1993 to 2000, he was senior partner, and from 2000 to 2001, Mr. Clark was chairman of Clifford Chance. His legal career has focused on financial products, corporate finance, capital markets, restructurings, and financial markets. Mr. Clark received a first class honours degree in law and a postgraduate Bachelor of Civil Law degree from the University of Oxford. He is a Domus Fellow of St. Catherine’s College, Oxford.
