John DiBiaggio is the president of Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts. Prior to his current position, Dr. DiBiaggio served as president of Michigan State University from 1985 to 1992, president of the University of Connecticut from 1979 to 1985, and vice president for health affairs and executive director of the Medical Center at the University of Connecticut from 1976 to 1979. Concurrent with his administrative posts, Dr. DiBiaggio has been a tenured professor in a number of departments and has published widely. He is a member of many boards, including the American Council on Education, the American Cancer Society Foundation, the American Film Institute, and the National Collegiate Athletic Association Foundation. In addition to numerous honorary degrees, Dr. DiBiaggio holds a B.A. from Eastern Michigan University, an M.A. in university administration from the University of Michigan, and a D.D.S. from the University of Detroit.
