John DAVIES, United Kingdom, is professor emeritus at Anglia Polytechnic University, founding dean of the Anglia Business School, and chair of its Higher Education Management Program. Professor Davies has undertaken numerous strategic consultancy projects in higher education and directed research and development projects for OECD, UNESCO, and the European Union. He is also the author of numerous publications including, “Strategic Planning in Irish Universities,” Irish Universities Quality Board (2008), and “A Revolution in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education: the Challenges and Compilations for the Relatively Traditional University,” for the journal Higher Education in Europe. Professor Davies holds a double honors bachelor degree in international relations and geography from the University of Wales.
