Johannes Huber is chairman of the National Committee of Bioethics of the Austrian Government, and chairman of the Department of Gynaecology at the University of Vienna, General Hospital of Vienna. Professor Huber is currently an expert on the Austrian Parliamentary Committee for Assisted Reproduction, and on the Special Committee for Contraceptives in the German Parliament. He serves as a member of numerous boards of directors including those of the Austrian Society for In Vitro Fertilization, and the Austrian Society of Endocrinology. Professor Huber is a member of the Supreme Austrian Health Organization, and of the Supreme Court for Health in Austria. From 1993 to 1995, he was head of the Division for Gynaecological Endocrinology and Infertility Treatment at the University of Vienna. Prior to this, Professor Huber served as assistant professor and then associate professor in the Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics. Professor Huber received a Ph.D. and an M.D. from the University of Vienna.
