Jean Pisani-Ferry has been director of the Brussels European and Global Economic Laboratory (BRUEGEL) since January 2005 and is also a professor of economics at the Université Paris-Dauphine. He is a member of two independent consultative groups: the European Commission President’s Group of Economic Policy Analysis and the French Prime Minister’s Council of Economic Analysis. Mr. Pisani-Ferry’s previous posts include director of CEPII, the main French research centre in international economics; senior economic adviser to the French minister of Finance; executive president of the French Prime Minister’s Council of Economic Analysis; and senior adviser to the director of the French Treasury. Mr. Pisani-Ferry holds an M.A. in mathematics as well as an advanced degree in economics from the Centre d'études des programmes économiques in Paris.
