Jaime Bayona

Public Health Advisor, The World Bank

Jaime Bayona was the director of Global Health Programs and Practice for the Dartmouth Center for Health Care Delivery Science. Dr. Bayona joined Dartmouth from Peru where he was the co-founder and director of Socios En Salud Sucursal Peru (SES), the Peruvian branch of Partners In Health. At SES, he served as the principal investigator for numerous NIH grants, oversaw a staff of over 150, managed relationships with government, and facilitated the participation of students and research affiliates on various projects at the SES site and throughout Peru. Dr. Bayona is considered one of the top experts in MDR-TB programs and has consulted in over a dozen countries. He has held appointments at the Department of Global Health and Social Medicine at Harvard University as a lecturer and at the Division of Global Health Equity at Brigham and Women's Hospital as a research associate. Currently Dr Bayona is public health advisor at World Bank/World Bank Institute.
