Hirsh Goodman


Hirsh GOODMAN is deputy director of the Jaffee Center for Strategic Studies at Tel Aviv University, Israel. Mr. Goodman has been involved in conflict resolution programs for over a decade, including active participation in Search for Common Ground's security and journalism programs. From 1986 to 1989, he was the Strategic Fellow at The Washington Institute for Near East Policy, where he co-authored The Future Battlefield and the Arab-Israel Conflict, published by Rutgers University Press. He has also written a history of the Israeli navy. Mr. Goodman was a contributing editor to U.S. News & World Report, a contributor to the New Republic, a special correspondent for the Sunday Times, London, and a news analyst for CBS News. Mr. Goodman was the founding editor of The Jerusalem Report and, until January 2000, the vice president of the Jerusalem Post.
