Gregory Wurzburg is a senior economist in the Education Directorate of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris, France. He is currently responsible for OECD research into benefits, costs, and financing of human resource development; and piloting experimental reviews of the implication of PISA study findings for national education policy. Dr. Wurzburg's earlier work included studies of implementation of lifelong learning, intellectual capital reporting in financial markets, labor market outcomes and educational attainment, and human resources and enterprise flexibility. Before joining the OECD in 1983, he was research director for Youthwork, Inc., executive director for the National Council on Employment Policy, and research associate in the Center for Social Policy Studies in Washington, D.C. He studied at Georgetown University and George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
