Mellon-Global Citizenship Program

Global Citizenship Summits

The M-GCP will include a Global Citizenship Summit in 2015 and 2016 (during the fall semester) that will allow participating institutions to meet, share information and results, align work across the various activities, and develop follow-up or ‘spin-off’ activities related to M-GCP/MFCI global citizenship education efforts. The annual Summit will serve as an opportunity to convene representatives of all 36 institutions, enabling them to engage in common learning, forge new, or renew, collegial contacts, and celebrate successes as well as analyze challenges as a vital part of nurturing and growing this evolving community of HBCU and ACA partners. In addition, the Summits will provide a high level public platform to showcase the ongoing pioneering work of M-GCP institutions.  It will also provide an opportunity to plan for long-term sustainability and to explore new funding opportunities to expand the scope of joint activities.
