Philanthropy is a vital and growing global force for change; the complexities that arise in addressing “wicked problems”, subject to a range of global factors and not limited by geographic borders, require new ways of working – increased leverage of resources, more effective deployment of capital, better cooperation, and dynamic cross-border and cross-sector strategy.  Through the OIP, Salzburg Global Seminar seeks to identify and amplify mechanisms that strengthen organized philanthropy to more effectively respond to global challenges.
