Barbara is a director and photographer from Kenya who credits the camera as the first tool that truly opened her heart and connected her to the authentic voice of exploration, engagement, and expression with the world. Currently, she is part of the HUG x Stability Diffusion AI innovation Laboratory and is exploring AI, in creativity, storytelling, and music. Her fiction directorial short film debut, 'Inheritance', will be released in 2024. In 2022, she was the Middle East and Africa regional winner of the inaugural Fujifilm GFX Global Challenge for 'Utawala', a portrait project on women creating legacies. In 2021, she embraced new media and directed her first 360-degree virtual reality and augmented reality documentary short project.
