Terence Starz, MD is a physician who specializes in rheumatology and internal medicine. He has recently retired from clinical practice. Dr. Starz is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He has been active in patient care, teaching, and clinical research in the management and outcomes of rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis, back disorders, and pain. He has been involved with the development and implementation of the Jewish Healthcare Foundation Senior Connections healthy living exercise and education program for seniors, "Fit with a Physician" walks in parks. Dr. Starz has been active in other professional and community activities including being president of the Allegheny County Medical Society, UMPC Presbyterian Hospital Medical Staff, the Pennsylvania Rheumatology Society, and the Western Pennsylvania Branch of the Arthritis Foundation. He created the "Breaking the Pain Chain" patient education program for the national Arthritis Foundation.
