Monique Sundree Rodgers is an Indian-South-African decolonization researcher, EDI consultant and yoga & mindfulness teacher. South African born and based in the UK, Monique is currently researching colonial links between South Africa and Britain and subsequent decolonial practices. She consults as an EDI lead to organizations. Her wider work is rooted in diverse and inclusive ecology and intersectional justice. Monique has recently completed her thesis in Movement, Mind and Ecology. Her current academic work explores access to and diversity in outdoor spaces in the United Kingdom and South Africa, focusing on the wellbeing of individuals, communities, and land. Her wider work advocates for how a diverse and inclusive approach to environmentalism is possibly the single most powerful approach to working towards climate justice. Her yoga and mindfulness work consists of advocating for accessible yoga for people who don't identify with the contemporary yoga image, teaching workshops and Yoga Teacher Trainings, both online, the UK and South Africa.
