Hafsa Ahmed

Operations Associate, Effective Ventures, UK

Hafsa Ahmed is an operations associate at Effective Ventures where she provides broad-spectrum operations support to nonprofits working in diverse social impact cause areas. Hafsa's intellectual passion lies at the intersection of research, policy advocacy, youth empowerment, and social entrepreneurship. Prior to that, Hafsa completed her MSc in international social and public policy (development) from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and her BA in social research and public policy from New York University Abu Dhabi. While in the UAE, she co-founded Peer-Minded - an award-winning mental health startup researching and advocating for student wellbeing in the region. More recently, she has been designing policy advocacy campaigns with Plan International/AstraZeneca's Young Health Programme in the UK and serving on the advisory board of the youth-led LUMS Policy Research Institute in Pakistan. Hafsa is a believer in radical compassion and community for building inclusive futures, as well as the need to uproot traditional power structures to effect equitable policy change.
