Shilten Joseph Palathunkal has worked at the Austrian Federal Chancellery since 2020 and is currently responsible for media policy, political coordination and international affairs. Related to his educational and professional background in finance, economic policy and technology fields he is also a member of the regulatory sandbox of the Austrian Financial Market Authority. Before working for the Austrian government, Shilten was the member of the management team of a private-equity backed IT startup with focus on blockchain technology and additionally the founder and managing partner of a news media corporation. Prior to the entrepreneurial experience, Shilten was working at Deutsche Bank and was involved in various international projects. He holds a master's degree in finance from the University of London and an executive master of business administration from Quantic School of Business and Technology. Shilten received the "Ring of Honours" from the "Fonds der Wiener Kaufmannschaft" for his academic performance during the "Reife- and Diplomprüfung" and participated in high potential programs such as FirstHand by McKinsey & Company.
