Emmanuel Baba Aduku

Master of Public Policy Candidate, Willy Brandt School of Public Policy, Germany

Emmanuel Baba Aduku is a second-year master of public policy candidate at the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy, specializing in international/global public policy and socioeconomic development policies with a focus on institutional and governance reforms. He is currently working on how public policies in Germany, especially in the areas of education and employment, can be reformed to become more inclusive for people with a migration background. Emmanuel has experience working for Africa Partners Initiative e.V. where he managed the Open Mic Night project which promoted integration and inclusion among people with a German/European and migration background. He previously worked with public sector think tanks and consultancies on governance issues before coming to Europe. Emmanuel holds a master's degree in the sociology of development from the University of Ibadan and a bachelor's degree in sociology from Ahmadu Bello University, both in Nigeria. He is a recipient of the Don Lavoie Fellowship in Political Economy from the Mercatus Center, George Mason University, and the Mandela Washington and Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) fellowships.
