Anne Atieno Odongo

Master of Social Policy Student, JKU, Austria

Anne Odongo is a graduate student in a joint master's program in social policy and welfare from Johannes Kepler University, Austria and Tampere University, Finland. With a background in community development, she has experience in evidence-based project implementation, policy research, analytical evaluations, and data analysis. Anne has a strong interest in social policy, child protection and gender policies. Anne has experience working in international and multicultural settings which has given her an understanding of different cultural dynamics. In addition to her academic background, Anne has a diverse range of professional experience, including working as a language and culture assistant in Spain, a project assistant for Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) and program and policy intern for Diakonie Emergency Aid. Through these experiences, Anne has developed skills in research and project management. Her interests along with personal experiences brought her to Public Policy New Voices Europe having the possibility to live an empowering journey in this fellowship, learning from others that share similar experiences and goals is an opportunity not to be missed. She hopes to further her existing knowledge and skills, learn from those already in the field and broaden her network above all understand how public policy can forge gender equality and positively impact the lives of diverse people, and foster their social emancipation.
