Melissa Wong is a Senior Program Officer at Equimundo: Center for Masculinities and Social Justice where she is responsible for the management and technical oversight of the organization's projects and initiatives internationally, with a focus on the Latin America and Caribbean region. Melissa has extensive experience working on gender transformative approaches to engage men and boys in the prevention of GBV, women's economic empowerment, and the promotion and defense of human rights. She has worked for international organizations such as Plan International Peru and Innovations for Poverty Action and has worked closely with grassroots organizations and rural and indigenous men, women and young people in Latin America. She is passionate about participatory and intersectional approaches to advance gender equality through the educational system. Melissa has a Bsc. in Psychology and a MRes in Education and Social Justice from Lancaster University, UK.
